DESCRIPTION:Lee County School District\nCurriculum Committee Meeting\n\nMonday\, March 25\, 2024 at 5:40pm \nMeeting starts at 6pm. Get there by 5:40 to register. \nIf you want to publicly speak\, you will need to sign up when you enter the room. \nBackground:\nPreviously\, parents concerned with student’s exposure to inappropriate material in the Media Center had to file an “Opt-Out”\, so their children were protected from indoctrination. \nProposal:\nFor years\, concerned parents have been demanding that the district instead use an “Opt-In” form\, requiring parents to actively state that they want their children exposed to this material. \nThe District is now considering this change. This will be discussed at this committee meeting\, and conservative parents need to flood this meeting to continue to demand this change. \nAt Issue:\nThe lefty “Purple” people will be there in droves\, demanding that this is somehow offensive to them; that they will no longer have access to our children’s young impressionable minds. \nSolution:\nWe need to flood the meeting with conservatives\, and even be prepared to speak at public comment\, if that’s your thing. But\, just a sea of red shirts and hats makes a statement. \n\n\nThe Curriculum Committee Meeting needs your presence to support  the new Media Center Access Form (attached)\, that parents fill out\, to allow or deny their child checking out objectionable materials (porn).  \n\nThe committee chair indicated that the “purple people” lefties constantly show up to this meeting and he needs our presence to advocate for this parental consent.  We want to champion and recommend the language on this form as pro-parental rights.\n\nFor specific questions\, please call Susan Moyer at 239-229-7226.
