Defend Florida is not going away\, but the weekly Zoom call is being combined. \nSee below for links to both organizations\, to join the call\, to get on the email list\, as well as some other related links. \nThings that led to creating ‘Reclaim Campaign’\, and identified solutions we are planning:\n\nLee County HB1381 Town Hall hosted by Raj Doraisamy and LCRA (election integrity)\n\nLivestreamed through Steve Stern\nHad 71\,00 live views\, and God only knows how many total views\nCan be found on LCRA’s Election Integrity page\n\n\nPinellas County Town Hall hosted by Raj and Pinellas Watchdogs (Cathi Chamberlain)\nAs a result of the Town Halls\, the Florida Legislature pulled HB1381\n\nWe exposed that it did not do what it was purported to do\nWe hoped to convince the sponsors to amend it\, so we could support it\nThey chose to go in a different direction\nIt was predictable that the FL Legislature was playing a shell game\, or Whack-A-Mole\, this year more than any previous years\n\n\nWe began a project to have volunteers adopt a bill to monitor and report back to the group\n\nWe started this too late to be effective this year\nPlan to begin in November\, in order to be ready for the next session\nThis measure has been identified as just one tool we need to use to fight back\n\n\n‘Reclaim Campaign’ identifies:\n\nThat we all belong to all of these different organizations\nWe’re all fighting the same enemies\nThese common enemies use the same common tools against all of us\nAll of these politico groups are duplicating similar or identical efforts\nWe need to band together to organize the fight\n\n\n‘Reclaim Campaign’ is mainly a weekly Zoom call\, sharing experiences\, enemy lists\, tactics\, strategies\, and resources\n\nRetains our individual organization’s autonomy\nIndividuals are also more than welcome to join the call\nEvery week there are individuals and organizations representing themselves or their organizations on these calls\, such as FRA’s Kris Jurski\, and Chris Gleason\nEvery meeting will discuss multiple issues\, strategies\, and tactics to Reclaim your county\, Reclaim Florida\, and Reclaim America\nShare the link to our events page\, with all of your contacts\n\n\n‘Reclaim Campaign’ is holding a live event on July 26. SUMMARY:Cape Coral City Council Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Cape Council Meeting – May 28\nThe City of Cape Coral will be considering a new residential rental ordinance next Wednesday May 28th at 9:30 AM. This ordinance changes the one time rental registration fee of $35 to an annual fee of $600\, a 1700% increase. This ordinance also includes language that would allow Cape Coral Police Department to remove occupants of a rental until the owner complies. This is a revenue grab and double taxation on homeowners! The revenue generated will be used for a new local tourist development tax allowing new cultural activity centers\, pickle ball courts\, and bocce ball courts. Homeowners already pay property taxes to go to these amenities. \nPlease come to the Committee of the whole meeting and tell Cape Coral City Council that you will not stand for this attack on private property rights and revenue grab.
